Matthew 6:9-13, Acts 4:24-31

A. Why Pray?

i. Because God is Sovereign and Creative (Acts 4:24)

ii. Because He is revealed to be above all (Acts 4:25-26)

iii. Because these issues are not new. (Acts 4:27)

iv. Because he can help us boldly solve them. (Acts 4:28-31)

B. How to Pray?

i. Adoration: (Matt. 6:9 -10)

a. Recognize who he is(Isa. 6:1-4, Acts 4:24)

ii. Confession

a. Recognize who you are (Isa. 6:5)

b. Recognize who they are (Acts 4:25-26)

iii. Thanksgiving:

a. Recognize what he did (Isa. 6:6-7)

b. Recognize what he is doing (Acts. 4:27-28)

iv. Supplication:

a. Recognize what he wants from you (Isa. 6:8)

b. Recognize what you need from him (Matt. 6:11-13, Acts 4:29-30)
