Acts 17:22-34
Introduction: Immigrant Culture
I. Start with what they are familiar with: (Acts 17:22-23)
A. Everything is permitted, provided it isn't a stumbling block (1 Corinthians
9:19-23)
B. Remember, we are all tied together to the same problem and solution,
regardless of background. (Romans 3:9-12, 22-24)
II. Continue with what you know: (Acts 17:24-31)
III. Expect misunderstanding, but work towards unity: (Acts 17:32-34)
A. Don't Judge someone simply because he has a different background from
you, unless you are prepared to be judged as well. (Matthew 7: 1-5, Romans
14:1-12)
B. Remember, all is for the Gospel, and all are welcome. (Matthew 28:19-20, 1
Corinthians 9:16-18, Acts 10)
Conclusion: Let's try and understand each other for the sake of the Gospel.
