II. The Responsibility of the Congregation to the Elder

    a. Submit: 1 Peter 5:5-8

    b. Trust in full confidence: 1 Timothy 5:1, 17-19

III. The importance of maintaining this relationship

    a. To ensure the protection of the Flock: 1 Peter 5:9-11 

    b. To allow the elder and the congregation to move as God allows: 1 Tim. 5:18

    c. To ensure profitability for all involved: Heb. 13:17
